Coursework: Mise-en-scene

Costume:
My characters will be wearing a casual look being jeans and a hoodie whereby represented the average teenage look allowing myself to reinforce the stereotype. The hoodie being an informal piece of clothing communicates non seriousnessspossiblylence and represents that long gang look. This links to my statement of intent as it reinforces the stereotype that young kids dont dress up formal and do good for themselves and backed up by the location being a car park in the night.

Lighting:
I will use lighting to portray the characters face but at the same time use motivated lighting being the natural darkness to add the sense of danger and unease for the audience. It will be mostly exterior as there is a war between gangs occurring which is a never ending cycle. I may use street lights also as a tool of natural lighting. Further more behind the camera i will have 1 artificial lighting.

Actors:
I will have young teenagers from my year as it is revolved around violence between youth. In my production i will have two brothers who look identically the same. One villian who kills one of the protagonists and the protagonists friends who aid in the revenge of the villian who killed to protagonist. Furthermore i will cast characters with similar personality to add a sense of realism. They will appear in a lot of wide shots to show it is out in the open.

Make-up
No make-up needed as natural look make give realism

Prop
In public whereby i use a gun and a getaway car to show the activites of a teenage boy but will be resembled in private place as i am using a gun which is not appropriate in a school location.
