  • The bubbles - as discussed, very strange? Need to work out how to undo options in iMovie
  • Music is good for a time lapse movie but im not sure if it fits this time lapse movie (horror genre)
  • Framing of the shot is the big weakness - top third is wasted in terms of the shot and cant see the subject very clearly.
  • In terms of the make-up/ mise-en-scene itself... very much Eleven from stranger things or ET in terms of wig and make-up. Was this the intention?

Vaagesan Mark: 5 Grade: C Comments on Statement of Intent: ·          There is a lot of impressive content here – you’ve clearly thought about your concept in detail, the title and tagline are excellent and you use some media terminology and theory. However, I’m worried this doesn’t meet the brief. I know you address this in the statement but I just don’t think a pre-watershed show aimed at a family audience would have this narrative. One to think about and reflect on seriously. ·          In terms of word count, I think you have too much narrative description and not enough of the other aspects of the statement of intent. ·          You need a lot more media terminology in terms of the technical construction of your trailer – camera shots, sound, mise-en-scene, editing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teVQN7U88uI This is an opening scene to the film the intent where is starts of in a room with the main character and it feels realistic due to the effectiveness of lighting being motivated lighting and to some individuals they may have a personal identity maybe from people they have encountered in real life. It then cuts to a dolly shot of cars with music which therefore gains the interest of the audience. Different match on action shots which also adds realism. The adding of slow motion is appealing which therefore catches the eyes of the audience. There is a lot of tilt and panning shots at the start showing a still position which allows the audience to distinguish the setting rather than the camera moving around.
