Cinematography video feedback/learners response

Mr Halseys comment:
  • some great shots and narrative is effective in engaging audience
  • POV of the kick was excellent
  • In other places, you lost focus (e.g. over the shoulder shot)
  • In terms of narrative, needing to use text (2 hours later) is usually one to be avoided but nevertheless an effective response
  • No titles/shot descriptions
Feedback from fellow students:
WWW:
  • Good/interesting narrative
  • range of shots
  • music went well
  • good acting
  • good camera work
  • captivating storyline
  • very well plotted
EBI:
  • Add in the names of the camera shots
  • Try and get cleaner shots
  • Show different shots
I believe I portrayed an interesting storyline where the range of shots with the rapid movements of each shot allowed the audience to feel on edge and more interested in the narrative. Also the music allowed this to happen as it gave that dramatic effect. The camera work was also good by Samie Miah as there were no shaking allowing people to be more focused on the narrative rather than the camera work.
On the other hand, I should label the shots which allows Mr Halsey to know that I understand the shots of each name. I should've also showed different shots like a medium close-up as my work was over the time limit being 1 minute. Even though the camera wasn't shaking, it was a but rough so I must take more cleaner shots (may purchase a better lense)

What I learnt from making this video is that movies don't only use different shots for effect but also there is a meaning behind different shots. (e.g. POV shot may be used for the audience to fell how the actor feels rather than it looking cool). By summer is should improve on focused shots and my editing.
